Kayak, canoe enthusiasts get access to park, lake

TAVARES – Sylvan Shores Park and Lake Gertrude will be open to canoe and kayak enthusiasts despite some local opposition to the move. Lake County commissioners voted 2-1 – Linda Stewart and Elaine Renick for, Jennifer Hill against – to allow the non-motorized craft to enter the lake from the park.
