We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience to lead the design and implementation of an automated test framework based on National Instruments TestStand to be used for Manufacturing Test programs. Lower level software will be written in LabVIEW, C, and/or Visual Basic. Units under test range from PCB assemblies to larger electronic and electromechanical system assemblies such as the Battery, Power Electronics Module, motor, gearbox, vehicle electronics, or even the whole car. You will work directly with the product design engineers, Manufacturing Test engineers and DVT engineers to gather requirements and collaborate on the development of a common test architecture. Documentation of the framework, continual improvements, and development of test templates are essential in order to build a solid foundation for current and future test activities.

Job Requirements

Proven leadership of small technical teams
Expert skills with National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand (certifications a plus)
Experience using TestStand with mixed programming languages
Experience in .NET, Visual Basic, Visual C++/# a plus
Experience with designing production test and test equipment control code
Demonstrated expertise developing coherent GUIs in LabVIEW or Visual Studio

You will be a key member of our team that runs our operations. You should be comfortable with systems that need to run 24/7, sites that serve millions of requests/hour and infrastructures that are constantly growing.

Our ideal candidate is self motivated; capable of finding their own answers to problems, loves open source infrastructures, and takes personal responsibility for getting things "right". You should have a good sense for high performance systems architectures, and be able to work with the coders to get the right things implemented.

You ideally have 5+ years with Linux, systems administration (RHEL/Centos preferred), a strong networking infrastructure background (TCP/IP, routing, switching, load balancers, firewalls). We have a strong bias toward automating tasks, rather than doing them by hand again and again. You should too (after all: your time is valuable...) You will build and maintain the overall demo environment for our Sales team, creating a fantastic setup that shows off our software and partner solutions. You’ll work with other stakeholders throughout the company to enhance our training environment, as well as other demo systems, and will play a key part in the Online team’s success as we grow our group. Though most of your work will be with other employees, you will also act as a technical advisor for third party developer partners who are looking to integrate their software with Sugar’s CRM software, so some customer-facing skills are needed. Experience in design and integration of PHP/MySQL based applications
Basic knowledge of Linux/bash to test and deploy code on remote servers
