Deliverability Specialist

The Deliverability Specialist will report to the Director of Deliverability/ISP Relations and will be responsible for leveraging key relationships with clients, ISPs and delivery assurance vendors to ensure the delivery of our clients’ e-mail communications to their customers. Technical skills e-mail Industry experience, and working knowledge of privacy legislation is a must.

Position Details:

  • Monitor deliverability metrics (delivered, bounced, inbox, filtered, black lists, etc.)
  • Manage relationships with key ISPs including white listing and feedback loop programs
  • Establish strong relationships with e-mail coalitions and organizations
  • Day-to-day client/industry contact to resolve issues around delivery, technology, problem identification, investigation, escalation and resolution
  • Research, understand and document best practices centered on privacy related legislation and legal compliance.
  • Manage client through various programs to help improve deliverability and reputation.
  • Work with engineering team to design product features

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 2-5 years e-mail deliverability, or ISP/ESP industry experience
  • Understanding of email, SMTP, authentication technology, certification programs, privacy and anti-spam policies and laws in the US and abroad
  • Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with ISPs, internal and external clients
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem resolution skills (diagnosis, option assessment, recommendation and escalation)
  • Strong ability to effectively manage time, prioritize assignments and multi-task in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated self-starter characteristics and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
