We are looking for a product marketing manager to help us drive a product successfully into
market. This person will work closely with a mix of product leads, engineering, marketing,
merchandising and creative to grow a product line to greater success and broad-based
awareness. The product marketing manager should combine a strong understanding of
customer needs with an equally deep understanding of business goals to champion solutions that deliver value for Tiny Prints.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate market opportunities of various new products and businesses.
- Conduct competitive analysis to understand emerging technologies and competitive threats.
- Perform in-depth market and customer research to identify and size potential product opportunities.
- Create marketing and product requirements documents.
- Work cross functionally with other product leads, marketing, engineering, merchandising and operations, and project manage all new products and services through product lifecycle.
- Research, create and define product/service positioning, competitive outlook and pricing.
- Define key success and performance metrics for products and track results accordingly.
- Drive and define product marketing strategy to promote product awareness and engagement.
Qualifications and Characteristics
- BA or BS degree in engineering, finance/economics or marketing with at least 3.5 GPA and 4-5 years of direct, related experience. MBA a plus but not necessary.
- Extremely analytical with great research discipline.
- Demonstrated experience with writing marketing and product requirements documents and working with cross-functional teams to develop and launch products in the online retail sector.
- Excellent project management skills and strategic thinking.
- Knowledge of ecommerce, websites, online services and latest web technologies. Start-up and online retail experience required, with exposure or interest in the stationery/greeting card space a big plus.
- Keen attention to detail, thorough and organized.
- Team player and results oriented, able to meet deadlines and multi-task and work independently with little direction.
- Strong communication skills.
