We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join our Marketing Department. The Marketing Manager is responsible for working with a variety of internal and external partners to lead the development of a world class consumer marketing program and customer experience. This position will create and execute online/offline demand generation programs, provide input on how to improve our web sites and ensure high impact and consistent marketing messaging. This is a full-time position based in Mountain View, California.
Responsibilities
- Drive the research, ROI analysis, negotiation and execution of key online marketing campaigns/channels, including web partnerships, datafeeds and emails
- Drive the research, ROI analysis, negotiation and execution of key offline channels (e.g., magazine publications, public relations) and build long-term campaigns
- Develop a disciplined marketing plan for both online and offline campaigns
- Work closely with creative development associated with all online and offline campaigns.
- Develop analytics driven reports and analysis of marketing campaign performance
Characteristics
- Some knowledge of search engine optimization and search engine marketing (CPC, paid inclusion, affiliate programs, etc.) concepts
- Thorough knowledge of online marketing, traditional marketing channels (print media, etc.) and brand building
- Extremely analytical and analysis/data driven to ensure positive ROI marketing campaigns
- Results and deadline driven – must be willing to do whatever it takes and spend whatever time it takes to meet deadlines
- Able to work independently with little direction
- Very creative and a great eye for design and layout for ad development
- Inherent interest in the stationery market, baby, family or bridal markets
- Keen attention to detail, thorough and organized
Qualifications and Skillsets
- College degree in marketing or advertising with at least 5 years of direct, related experience. MBA a plus but not necessary.
- Start-up and online retail experience required, with exposure or interest in the stationery/greeting card space a big plus
- Proven ability to produce ROI positive marketing campaigns in the past plus experience building a brand
- Experience producing marketing plans, conducting market research, focus groups,surveys and other marketing/customer intelligence analysis
- Experience managing others
- Past experience working with and contacts with major online companies and lifestyle publications a big plus
