Job posting at Dash Navigation is seeking a Service Operations Analyst to join the IT Operations team. This individual will manage how Dash devices connect to the Dash service as well as drive Business Intelligence (BI) solutions at Dash related to the Dash service. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to define metrics and generate reports independently, but also work collaboratively in a team-based environment. This position requires a candidate with strong business acumen, technical savvy, great attention to detail, and proven expertise in business intelligence analytics.
Overall Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Ongoing support of Dash devices on the Dash service.
- Perform functional and technical activities for device management.
- Manage key metrics to measure the Dash service.
- Design, quickly develop and deploy ad-hoc reports and dashboards using business intelligence software and various homegrown tools.
- Respond to a variety of report requests from multiple departments within Dash.
- Minimum two years experience in BI reporting (functional requirements gathering through technical design with end-users).
- Strong knowledge of BI and data warehousing best practices
- Solid understanding of logical relationships of database tables.
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Desire to learn new technologies and stay current with evolving BI offerings.
- Experience with database programming including SQL language.
- Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Suite is a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- BS degree, in CS or related field.
- Recent college graduates with comparable experience and a history of academic success encouraged to apply.
