Job posting at This position plays a leading, senior role in conceiving, designing and realizing Allurent’s next generation of products. We are in a very exciting period in which our ideas and products are evolving rapidly to meet the needs of leading retail brands. To pull this off, we need a talented hands-on software architect/developer with a vivid imagination, a desire to advance the state of the art, and the technical and leadership skills to build that vision. A robust understanding and track record with current client and server web technologies is essential, as is the ability to work in concert with a small, extremely talented team of engineers, designers, QA and product managers. This is a job in which you will be influencing the direction of our product line, translating business strategy and customer input into concrete features and approaches. You will also be challenging and leading more junior developers and mapping a clear technical course for work, demonstrating practice by example — in other words, you will be contributing a lot of code.
- 10+ years experience in application development (full lifecycle).
- Previous experience as team lead or principal engineer in a product development setting.
- Familiarity with agile software development methods.
- World-class programming and software engineering skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills. ï Enjoy the thrill of doing amazing work in small, motivated project teams.
Preferred:
- Strong working knowledge of Java.
- Knowledge of Adobe Flex/Flash platform.
- Familiarity with AJAX development.
- Experience working with common web server technologies such as JSP, Spring, Hibernate, Servlets.
- Knowledge of e-Commerce or content management server-side technologies.
- Understanding of user interface development concepts such as usability, skinning and acceptance testing.
