Job posting at Responsibilities:
- Work in a highly collaborative environment with designers, developers and clients to create innovative and intuitive design solutions for Allurent’s RIA products and services engagements.
- Gather business and feature requirements.
- Create wireframes, functional specs, interactive prototypes and demos for proof of concept and development specification.
- Create usability tests, moderate user studies and propose design alterations based on usability feedback.
- Represent design in all phases of products and services lifecycles internally and in client discussions.
Qualifications:
- 3 years or more experience designing desktop applications and/or consumer facing RIAs (using DHTML or Flash technology).
- Strong knowledge of recent RIA UI trends.
- Excellent written, oral, and collaborative skills.
- Willingness to work in the Boston/Metro area. (No freelance offers or submissions to work remotely will be accepted.).
- Fluency in all relevant design tools including: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and OSX.
Preferred:
- Recent experience using Adobe Flash or Flex and Actionscript.
- Recent experience using HTML and CSS.
- Clean visual sense of design and typography.
- Formal design training.
