Etsy.com is an online marketplace for buying and selling all things handmade. We are seeking a full time Director of Business Development to identify and execute partnership opportunities to enhance our business.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
You will work closely with the CFO and the executive team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and prioritize partnership opportunities
- Devise evaluation criteria for partnerships
- Prepare financial evaluations for each potential opportunity
- Identify and engage appropriate internal resources necessary for each potential deal.
- Negotiate all aspects of contracts with potential partners
- Maintain an aggressive stance on partnership development and continually drive for results.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- 5+ years of related experience in business and/or partner development, preferably in Ecommerce.
- MBA required
- Ability to analyze partnership opportunities and develop a plan as to which partnerships make sense for Etsy and our community
- Analytical skills coupled with financial understanding including the ability to assimilate large amounts of information, analyze data, summarize and develop appropriate strategic recommendations.
- Ability to create, interpret and implement market research, analyses, new product planning, product marketing and launch experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and external vendor relationships.
- Adept at translating strategic initiatives into actionable steps.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Ability to source, negotiate, and close business relationships with large and complex partners
