Department: Consumer – Food & Restaurant
Key Responsibilities:
Manage team workflow and take ownership of account work while driving consistent media results; report status of accounts to Direct Supervisor; Write and edit all media materials – press kits, press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, bios, case studies and backgrounders; Develop and maintain relationships with influential members of the media in order to ensure placements; Develop strategic communication plans, including media opportunities, tactics, and timelines consistent with overall PR strategy; Monitor media and seek out creative media opportunities for clients, including responses to ProfNet and other media; Provide guidance and leadership to junior-level staff.
Qualifications:
B.A./ B.S. in Public Relations, Marketing or related field; At least 2-3 years of PR or in-house agency experience in the Food and Restaurant arena; Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; Passion for Food; Knowledge of Chefs and Restaurants; Creative and energetic personality; Detail-oriented and ability to work in a fast paced environment. Motivated team player, Multi-tasker, Strategic thinker who is able to take initiative and has excellent knowledge of the media.
